We're always looking to add new volunteers to our teams. Whether you're looking to become a Moderator in one of our online spaces, an Event Organizer, or a member of the governing board, you'll find the information you need below.
Lady Geeks of Atlanta Moderators
From time to time we accept new volunteers to help moderate our Facebook and Discord groups online. Moderators (Mods) are in charge of approving new member requests, redirecting posts where needed (e.g. moving business posts to the business thread, etc), and helping group members navigate any difficult or emotionally charged conversations that pop up. If you think you’d like to help out, we’d love to hear from you. In order to qualify, you need to be:
- A current member in good standing.
- Mature in the face of emotionally charged moments.
- A great communicator.
- Willing to work with and communicate frequently with the team.

Lady Geeks of Atlanta Event Organizers
Official Lady Geeks of Atlanta (LGA) Event Organizers are responsible for putting on at least four free events per year (one per quarter). As official LGA Event Organizers, you are expected to uphold LGA values and represent our group in a positive way.
Event organizer slots are limited! If you think you may be interested in becoming an official Event Organizer, fill out the application below and we’ll get in touch to schedule a brief interview.
